On Wednesday night, the Lightning boys basketball team took down yet another opponent in commanding fashion as they continued their run for state. Laconia simply couldn’t find any answers to stop LCL, falling 48-71 in the neutral-ground sectional game. Luke Haertle put up 25 points and 7 rebounds, along with Noah Howard and John Nehls each tacking on 14 points. Ben Lubbers brought in 8 rebounds, and Sam Heicher snagged 4 steals in the victory. Stay tuned and plan to attend the next Lightning game on Saturday, where they are currently scheduled to take on Columbus, at Beaver Dam High School, for the sectional championship title.
