The Lightning girls basketball team is also first in their conference with a perfect 6-0 record against familiar faces, and currently displaying an 8-4 season record. Junior Lauren Cleary and senior Rieley Mueller lead team scoring with averages of 11.5 and 9 points, respectively. The Lightning’s losses come against other standout teams, such as Luther Prep and Lake Mills. On the other hand, last Tuesday LCL stole their largest win of the season so far, beating Messmer 79-12. The girls took home another win on Thursday after traveling to beat St. Thomas More in a non-conference matchup. This week Tuesday, at home, the Lightning look to rebound from a Saturday loss to West Bend West in a tough conference joust with the 9-3 USM program, who is currently second to LCL in the Midwest Classic.
