SERVANT TEAMS  2024-2025

 “Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms… If anyone serves, they should do so with the strength God provides, so that in all things God may be praised through Jesus Christ.” 1 Peter 4:10 - 11

What are Servant Teams?

Servant Teams have been a tradition here at LCL for many years.  From the very beginning, LCL families wanted to serve their school community at athletic contests, concerts, and events. As an LCL Family member, you are automatically signed up for a team. These teams support all areas of the school by running concessions at sporting events, helping with concerts in our fine arts department, and serving at other events. We ask you to volunteer your time throughout the year to help with these specific events.  The neat thing is that while serving and helping the school, you are meeting other families from different classes and getting to know one another.

                                                                                                Servant Team Structure

1. Teams Structure - Each team is made up of families from every class and has about 23-24 families on a team.
2. TEAM LEADER - The Junior class families (highlighted in purple) are TEAM LEADERS. Experienced Servant Team members will take the lead in supporting new LCL families at events. Junior Family Team Leaders serve in these ways:
   1. Communicate to their team about the times they need help.
      1. You will be receiving an email from the office with all your teams’ emails to help introduce you to one another.
   2. Make sure that the shifts are covered.
   3. Let us know in the Office if you are having trouble reaching a family and we can help.
   4. Help to create a fun family environment when working with those team members.
3. Continuous Communication - As games get postponed or cancelled, we will let you know from the office as soon as we know something has changed.
4. Concession Instruction Binder - There are two types of concessions offerings: Tier 1 and Tier 2. Tier 1 is basic with no grilling or frying food required. Tier 2 has grilling/frying food options.

What are my duties on a Servant Team?

Freshmen, Sophomore, and Senior Parents - Your job is to sign up for 9 out of your 12 time slots via SignUpGenius at https://www.signupgenius.com/go/10C084CADA82AA4FD0-50502282-202425.You will receive email notification 24 hours prior to your shift. If you are unable to work the date assigned, it is YOUR RESPONSIBILITY to find someone else to work for you.

Junior Parents - Your role this year is Team Leader which means you will make sure all your team’s shifts are covered. This does not necessarily mean you have to work every shift. We have created a Master SignUpGenius at https://www.signupgenius.com/go/10C084CADA82AA4FD0-50502282-202425 that will send out a reminder to those that have signed up a day prior to the event. We ask that you help communicate to your team to fill your time slots and send reminders.
